Since 2001, I've documented the streets, markets and communities of Brixton, Stockwell and Kennington—neighbourhoods shaped by decades of migration, cultural exchange and resilience. These are places where West Indian, African, and South Asian communities have built lives, established businesses, created gathering spaces. The work is grounded in returning to the same streets over more than twenty years, watching how communities change, how cultures merge, how people move through and settle in a place.
